Our Wonderful Friend
Ben Garcia
The car world in Arkansas lost a wonderful friend this weekend. As many of you know, Ben's health had deteriorated in the last few months. For those who were lucky enough to know Ben, you will understand that although he had many health problems he pressed forward everyday with a remarkable attitude. I will always appreciate the many ways that Ben supported the efforts for all car-related events hosted in The Rock. Personally, I will miss him most during The Rock's Big Cruisefest where he and Walt McKamy took the lead on the Adult Trike Race Competition [see photo below;] both of their personalities making the competition much more than it really was.
His sweet demeanor was always present and I will truly miss his wonderful smile.
Our prayers are with his sweet wife Donna and all of their family members.
I hope many of you will be able to honor Ben this evening by driving your cruisers to Roller Chenal Funeral Home [13801 Chenal Parkway]. to celebrate his life. Visitation celebrating Ben's life is scheduled for Monday, June 29, 6:00-7:00 pm at Roller Chenal Funeral Home. A Rosary is scheduled for 7:00 pm. The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, June 30th at 11:00 am.
